Sponsored sleep out for Porchlight homeless charity

Last year we donated to Porchlight charity instead of sending corporate Christmas cards. This year, on the 19th of October, our MD, John Friis took part in the Rotary Sleep Out challenge. He slept outside with just a cardboard box for shelter and put himself in the shoes of someone who is homeless for a night. This event aimed to raise awareness of the problem of homelessness. It was a chance to gain a better understanding of what rough sleepers really go through and of course, to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

You can read a little more about Porchlight and what they do below.

About Porchlight Homeless Charity

Porchlight supports more than 5,000 homeless and vulnerable people each year. Working across Kent and the south-east, the charity helps vulnerable and isolated people get support with their mental health, housing, education and employment.

They provide children, young people and adults with the advice, guidance and skills to live independently in the future, play an active role in their local community and fulfil their potential.

It’s not too late to support Porchlight by clicking here to sponsor John’s sleep out.

Finally, you can see below that John smashed his target, but fundraising has not stopped yet. You can still donate to Porchlight via his sponsorship page.
Please give whatever you can afford and (as you can see!) small donations add up. Thank you.
